Where to stay in Folegandros

Chora

Chora, the island's main village, is a picture-perfect example of a Cycladic village, with its winding cobblestone alleys and several squares. The Castro, an ancient settlement with a Venetian fortress, and the whitewashed dwellings with courtyards make up the village. 

Vehicles are prohibited in Chora, making it a pleasant place to stroll while exploring the many hotels, restaurants, and stores available. Chora is well recognized as one of the most picturesque Cycladic settlements due to its bright white houses and winding alleyways.

Karavostasi

Karavostas is the island's picturesque harbor town. The beach in this picturesque town has calm, clear waters ideal for swimming and is shaded by towering trees. In addition to being a convenient jumping-off point for day trips to other parts of the island, Karavostasi is also a fantastic location to discover the island's other beautiful beaches. Ano Meria

The picturesque town of Ano Meria lies on the northwestern side of the island about five kilometers from Chora. Here you can find the Ecomuseum, a small folk museum located in a building from the 17th century in the heart of the village. Agriculture, animal husbandry, and cheesemaking are only some aspects of island life highlighted in the museum. 

The Laographic museum, which represents the traditional cottage dwelling, is another famous destination in Ano Meria. Hiking is a popular activity that guests can do in the area, enjoying the stunning views of the Aegean Sea.

Agali

The Greek island of Folegandros is home to the well-liked resort town of Agali. It features one of the most fabulous beaches on the island; getting there is a breeze in your car. As the enormous boulders that appear to be enveloping the beach gave it its name, Agali, the word for "hug," seemed fitting. 

Many people visit the beach throughout the summer since it is a popular spot for swimming. It also has a small number of guest rooms available for overnight stays.
